FAQ

Questions, answered

The basics on who Rifflynk is for, how it works, and what to expect. Still stuck? Email us.

Is Rifflynk only for churches?

No. Rifflynk began with worship teams, but it's built for any team that books musicians — churches, bands and artists, venues and bars, and college or school groups. If you need players for an event, service, or show, it's for you.

Who can join?

Two kinds of accounts: musicians (singers, instrumentalists, audio/video/lighting techs, and more) and organizations (churches, bands, venues, schools, and other teams). You pick your type when you sign up.

What does it cost?

Creating a profile and using Rifflynk to find and book is free for both musicians and organizations. If you choose to pay a musician through the app, a small service fee applies — see "How do payments work?" below.

How do musicians and organizations connect?

Organizations post open roles for an event or service. Musicians discover those roles, apply, and the two sides message back and forth in Lynk — a thread tied to that specific booking — until the details are confirmed.

How do payments work?

Once a musician is booked, the organization can pay them securely right in the app — by card, bank transfer (ACH), or crypto (USDC) — powered by Stripe. The musician keeps 99.01% of their quoted rate; a small service fee (4.99% for card, 2.99% for ACH, or 3.99% for crypto) is added to what the organization pays, covering Rifflynk's fee and payment processing. In-app payment is optional — organizations and musicians can also arrange pay directly between themselves if they'd rather.

What instruments and roles are supported?

Worship leaders, vocalists, and the full band — plus audio, video, and lighting. Don't see your role? You can add a custom role with a quick description, and it's searchable just like the presets.

I'm a video editor or another creative — is there a place for me?

Yes — you're welcome here. Beyond live musicians, Rifflynk already supports production and tech roles like audio, video, and lighting, and you can join and build a profile today. If you're a video editor, content creator, photographer, or another kind of creative, we're actively working on tailored ways to showcase your work and get discovered — so set up a profile and check back as we grow.

Can I build a roster of musicians I trust?

Yes. Organizations can save their favorite musicians to a private roster, then invite any of them to a role in one tap — so you don't have to search from scratch every time you need someone.

Can I invite my team, students, or members with a code?

Yes. Organizations can create private invite codes and share them with their team, students, or members. Anyone who joins with a code appears in your roster automatically. Schools and colleges, for example, can give students a code so a department can build its own pool of players.

Can I post roles only my members can see?

Yes. When you post an opening you can choose "Everyone" or "Members only." Members-only roles are visible only to musicians who joined your organization with an invite code — great for internal or private opportunities.

Is there a mobile app?

Rifflynk runs in any web browser today, and a native iOS app is on the way. Your account and data are the same everywhere you sign in.

How do you keep it safe?

You can report any profile, message, or conversation in-app or by emailing support@rifflynk.com. We review reports and can remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts that break our Terms.

We're an organization, but our team members also perform elsewhere. Can they get booked too?

Yes. From your organization profile you can add a performer page under the same login. You'll show up in Discover and can be invited, booked, and paid like any other musician — and switch between your organization and performer profiles anytime with one tap.

Can I message other musicians or other organizations directly?

Yes. Musicians can message other musicians, and organizations can message other organizations, to network, refer gigs, find a sub, or share players. Open someone's profile and tap Message — the conversation lands in your Lynk inbox alongside your booking chats.

Can I change my organization type or cancel anytime?

Your organization type is set at signup; to change it, just email support. You can stop using Rifflynk or delete your account whenever you like.
